Here you will find short step-by-step guides for the most important tasks: creating an account, signing in, inviting a team, building a flow in the Studio, starting a run and finding the results. If your question is not covered, write to us – see the "Contact support" section.
Account & Sign-in
How do I create an account?
1. Open the registration page and enter your email address and a password. 2. Select your country (used only for regional routing). 3. Submit the form. 4. You will receive a 6-digit confirmation code by email. 5. Enter the code – done, your account is active and you are signed in. Tip: The code is valid only for a short time. If you need a new one, you can request it again.
How do I sign in?
On the login page, enter your email address and your password and confirm. If you have set up two-factor authentication (MFA), you will then also be asked for your authenticator code. For security reasons, sign-in for an email address is locked after several incorrect entries. That lock does not expire on its own — waiting will not help. It is lifted as soon as a new password is set: request a recovery code on the login page via “Recover access”. If no email reaches you, write to us and we will unlock your account.
Can I sign in through an external provider (SSO)?
At the moment you can sign in with Google or GitHub; Apple and Microsoft are in preparation. The login page only ever shows the providers that are actually enabled. Click the provider you want, sign in there, and you land straight back with us. SSO is optional – you can always sign in the classic way with email and password; there is no obligation to use any provider.
I forgot my password – what do I do?
On the login page, click "Recover access" and enter your email address. You will receive a 6-digit recovery code by email with which you set a new password. Note: When changing the password, all "remembered" devices are signed out for security reasons – so you will have to confirm two-factor authentication again at the next login.
Can I change my email address?
Yes. Go to your profile and select "Change email". Enter the new address and confirm it with the code we send to the new address. After that, you sign in with the new address.
Security
How do I set up two-factor authentication (MFA)?
1. In the sidebar at the bottom, open your account menu (your name or initials) and select “Profile”. There, in the “Two-factor authentication” section, start the setup via “Set up MFA”. 2. Scan the displayed QR code with any authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy) – or enter the key manually. 3. Type in the 6-digit code from the app to confirm the setup. 4. You receive 10 backup codes, once. Keep them safe – with them you can get in if you have no access to the app. From now on, the login additionally asks you for the code from your app. You can disable MFA at any time in the same profile section (confirmed with a code).
What does "Trust this browser for 30 days" mean?
After successful two-factor authentication, you can optionally tick that this browser is remembered for 30 days. During this period you no longer need to enter an MFA code on the same device. The remembering ends automatically after 30 days and is reset immediately if you disable MFA, change your password or delete your account. Only use the function on devices that belong to you.
How do I delete my account?
1. In the sidebar at the bottom, open your account menu (your name or initials), select “Profile” and then the “Delete account” section. 2. Confirm the action with your password (additional security check). 3. Review the overview: it shows every organization you are a member of and what happens to each of them. If you are the owner or the last admin of an organization with other members, you first transfer it to an admin (or make a member an admin) – only then is deletion possible. 4. Finally confirm the deletion in the red notice dialog. If paid subscriptions end with your account, the platform first asks whether you want to cancel and keep the paid remaining time — or delete immediately; you can also schedule the deletion for the end of the term. After that, your account is deleted in all services – as a rule within 24 hours, at the latest within 30 days. An immediate deletion request is final and cannot be revoked; a scheduled deletion can be canceled in your profile at any time before the date. Invoices already created must be retained by law for tax reasons and are therefore kept.
Organization & Team
How do I create an organization?
On your first login, the onboarding guides you through creating your first organization. You assign a name, choose the plan type and set the hosting region. The creator automatically becomes the owner. You can create further organizations later in the management area.
Where is my organization hosted – and can I change it?
Your organization is hosted in its region, separated from the other regions. The region is set once when it is created and cannot be changed afterwards – the current region can be viewed in the Platform at any time. The owner can, however, rename the organization at any time in the organization management via “Rename organization”.
How do I invite team members?
1. In the management area, open your organization and go to the members area. 2. Enter the person's email address and choose the desired role. 3. Send the invitation – the person joins via a personal invitation link. Your organization stores invited email addresses only in encrypted (hashed) form. How many members you can invite depends on your plan.
What roles are there?
These are the roles: Owner (full control, incl. subscription and deletion), Admin (management of members and content), Member (works with flows and runs) and Guest (restricted access). The owner can transfer ownership to an admin at any time in the organization management and then becomes an admin. There, the owner can also give the organization a new name via “Rename organization”. An organization never changes its owner automatically: if you are the owner or the last admin of an organization with other members and want to delete your account, you transfer it first.
Studio: Building Flows & Tasks
What is the Studio?
In the Studio you build visual processes (flows) without code that control external AI and API services. The hierarchy is: Team → Project → Workspace → Flow → Task. A flow bundles the individual steps; each step is a task, and the tasks are processed one after another.
How do I build a simple flow?
1. In the Studio, create a workspace and a flow within it. 2. Add a task: in the “Prepare a new Task” dialog, choose the execution (Platform or Device), the type (AI, API or QC) and the mode (Easy or Pro). 3. Specify what the task should do – for an API call, for example, the service as well as the path and method of the call. 4. Save – your first step is done. Flows are executed step by step (sequentially). Branched or parallel processes are currently not provided for.
What is the difference between Easy, Pro and Expert?
Easy guides you through a task with pick lists and builds the call to the chosen API from them – ideal for getting started. Pro is the direct API editor with every field, for when you want more control. Expert shows the whole task definition as JSON, which you edit in the settings. You can switch between the modes; you can only leave Expert once the JSON is valid.
How do I store my own API key for a service?
When a task runs on our platform, it calls external services exclusively through the APIs we have enabled. The target address is fixed in that enablement and never comes from the flow itself – this protects against misrouting. So you choose the service; adding it is on us. 1. Open “Security” and create your access via “Add credential”: pick the enabled API, choose the auth type, give it a short technical name (e.g. primary) and enter your secret. Only owners and admins may create or change the organization's central credentials. 2. You reach the same dialog straight from the task via “+ Create credential” – there the API is already fixed by the task. 3. In the task, select the enabled API and your stored credential, then give the path and the method. Your credentials are stored encrypted (per organization) and are decrypted in memory only for the duration of the call. We take technical precautions so that they do not end up in logs or in stored results. If a service is not on the list, you can run the task through a host client on your own device – there you enter the full address yourself. Important: The Platform does not provide its own AI service. AI calls go exclusively to the providers you integrate (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral) with your own credentials.
Can a flow also run on my own device?
Yes. The same flow can be executed either in the backend (scalable) or via a host client on your own device – without changing the flow. On the host client, your credentials remain locally in the operating system's key store and are not sent to the backend after setup. This is the option that keeps data exposure to a minimum.
Opergow Runner
What is the Opergow Runner?
A small open-source client for servers, containers, Kubernetes and VMs. It picks up your organization's device tasks and runs them — like Opergow Connect on a workstation, but without sign-in, without a user interface and without state on disk. Several instances with the same key form a pool and share the tasks.
How do I start a runner?
Under Runner, create a pool and store the key right away as the file ~/.opergow-runner/runner_key. Then: • Docker: start the container with the key file mounted read-only at /run/secrets/opergow/runner_key. • Kubernetes: create a secret from the file and install the Helm chart with that secret. • VM without Docker: run runner install with the key file; this sets up a systemd service. The setup guide on the pool shows the ready-made commands.
How secure is the runner key?
The key is shown only once; Opergow only stores a check value. It opens nothing but your organization's runner interface — no sign-in and no other areas. You can restrict it to certain networks, give it an expiry date, block it and renew it at any time. Credentials for tasks stay on your system. Never put the key into an image or a Git repository.
How does a task run on a runner?
In the Studio, choose a runner pool instead of a device as the target of a device task. Optionally require labels so that only matching instances take the task, and decide whether the task waits or gives up after a set time if no instance is online.
Which image do I need?
The base image contains only the runner. Under Runner → Images you pick the tools and get a ready-made Dockerfile — free on every plan. Depending on your plan, we also build the image for you and store it in your registry.
Which limits apply?
The number of pools, of instances running at the same time, of images and builds, and the monthly transfer depend on your plan. You see the current values under Runner → Images and in your subscription.
Starting a Run & Results
How do I start a run?
Open the flow you want to execute and start it via the execute/run action. The individual steps are generated from your definition and processed one after another. Backend steps run automatically; steps that run on your device (host client) are delivered to it as soon as it is connected.
Where do I see the status of a run?
You can see the current state of your runs directly in the Studio or in the status/board view. There you can tell whether a run is waiting, currently running, finished or had an error. The view updates so that you can follow the progress.
Where do I find the results of a run?
You can see the output of a step in the run itself. In addition, run results of every kind – text, JSON, image, audio, video or files – are saved automatically in the file manager as long as the setting “Automatically save the result to my files” is enabled (on by default). You can view text/JSON, images, audio and video directly in the browser; SVG, HTML and PDF are available as downloads. The file manager is divided into the areas “Cloud” (your own files), “Results”, “Reports”, “Exports” and “Devices”. The “Results” page shows all run outputs as a tree: Team → Project → Workspace → Flow. Note: depending on your plan and server release, your own uploads may currently still be limited to text/JSON.
Subscription & Billing
Can I withdraw from a paid subscription?
As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the conclusion of the contract. Because you expressly consent to the immediate commencement of the service when booking, it expires upon full performance; if you withdraw earlier, you pay proportional compensation for the time already used. You can find the full withdrawal instructions in the GTC (Section 7).
How do I choose a plan?
At the bottom of the sidebar, open your account menu and choose “Plan & subscription”. There you see the available plans (from free to the team and business tiers) and pick the one that suits you. An upgrade takes effect immediately. A reduction in seats takes effect at the end of the current billing period. A downgrade is still under trial; until it is enabled, cancel with effect from the end of the current billing period and then book the plan you want anew. Some tiers are agreed individually. Billing is in euros; consumers see final prices including statutory VAT, business customers net plus VAT. Team plans are available only to businesses (entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB); for the personal plans you state when ordering whether you are ordering as a private individual or as a business.
Where do I find my invoices?
At the bottom of the sidebar, open your account menu and choose “Billing”. There you see all invoices with date, service period, amount and status. “PDF” starts the download directly in this tab; the link is valid only briefly and can be used exactly once — if you need the invoice again, just click PDF once more. Invoices are retained by law for 8 years and are kept even after account deletion.
How do I cancel a subscription?
At the bottom of the sidebar, open your account menu and choose “Plan & subscription”. There you find your active plan. Click “Cancel” to start the cancellation and confirm it in the dialog that follows; a confirmation file is downloaded. The plan keeps running until the end of the current billing or trial period. Until then, you can undo the cancellation via “Reactivate”.
Language & Appearance
How do I change the language?
The platform is available in many languages. You can switch in the header of the home page and in the settings under “Language” – that is also where you see every available language. If you are signed in, your choice is stored in your account – emails to you then also arrive in this language – and also applies to your personal organization. If you are not signed in, your browser remembers the choice for your next visit.
How do I change the theme and light/dark mode?
In the settings, you select appearance and brightness separately under "Theme" and "Mode". Some themes (e.g. Matrix) exist only in a dark mode – in that case the mode switch does not appear.
